For those who have a large dolly family and can’t afford handmade clothing for all of them, Re-ment does it again ! After a first offering of nine mix-and-match outfits plus a display mannequin, the miniature specialists issue a second set perfect for the winter.

As usual, they’re spot on with current trends. We love the little touches such as the leopard print scarf, the fur collar on the beige coat, the slim jeans or the short baggy jacket that will appeal to the inner fashionista living in most dolls.

Some pieces can be filed in the hit-and-miss category… And of course, if you want quality, well… This set isn’t really for you. The clothes from the first set were well made, but the finishings weren’t always perfect and some of them were far from a perfect fit.

But they’re fun to play with and more than reasonnably priced, so why not indulge your dollies and if they complain, just tell them to ask Taylor Gibson Blythe to do some minor alterations !

We’re not the only ones who love vintage clothing ! Apparently, Blythe does too… Vintage & retro are two major fashion obsessions, right now. From designers finding inspiration in fifties & sixties clothing to top brands giving retro-flavored names to some of their products, fashion decidedly looks in the rearview mirror these days.

If September release Cloud 9 Bowl is a full-on fifties chick, Miss Retro Mama is a timeless girl who obviously love to shop for clothes in vintage stores and flea markets. Red pleated dress, apron & kerchief, girly blue coat : her outfit has a lovely country feel mixed with a hearty dose of innocence.

But let’s take a closer look at this fresh beauty. Her layered blond ‘do, straight thick bangs and great taste in accessories (from colored tights to flowered mary-janes, from patchwork handbag to suede boots) scream “fa-fa-fashion”.

There’s only one thing we don’t like about her : Retro Mama’s limited. And we all know what it means…
